Usually a referral from your GP is ideal, your GP can make a referral under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Scheme which entitles you to 10 sessions in a calendar year from the date of referral. With this type of referral Medicare will cover a proportion of the session cost.
You can self refer and pay fee for service. If you have private health insurance you can seek a rebate for service fees from your provider.
If you are an NDIS participant and you are funded for psychological services or yoga therapy arrangements can be made for fees to be paid this pathway. You or your support coordinator can contact EHC to arrange an appointment. If you are on Workcover, Workers Compensation, Victim of Crime support fees can be discussed at initial consultation and or initial session.
